Early Day

NAMING & BRANDING

Early Day is the only career marketplace dedicated to early childhood educators. I worked with the founders to develop a brand name, tagline and visual identity to launch the company. Within six months of our project completing, Early Day raised $3.25 million in their seed round of funding to further bring their vision to life.

The name Early Day is a nod to the company’s focus on Early Childhood Education, and is meant to evoke excitement for the start of new opportunities, connections and growth found at the first day of a new job, or at school. The tagline “Rise and Shine” speaks to the empowerment of educators’ growth and success, rooted in Early Day’s values of wanting educators and schools to thrive.

The visual identity uses primary colors and a logo mark that is a nod to building blocks, as well as an abstract E and D. The design elements are playful and bold to reflect their market (schools and educators for young children), while maintaining a trustworthy and professional look.
